In the early years of my development as a painter I embraced a love for the Japanese aesthetic along with my training in the Western European tradition. I was deeply influenced by the exceptional works of Japanese art in the Cleveland Museum of Art where I was employed. From this time forward my work has always contained imagery that blends eastern and western cultures.
